✅ In this post, I discuss the application of ‘Alkaline Electrolyzers’ and the major companies and their Alkaline Electrolyzer specification.
? First, a short introduction to ‘Hydrogen Production’ and ‘Electrolysers’!
Large-scale hydrogen production through low-cost “Alkaline Water Electrolysis” using renewable energy sources is viable. However, the performance of Alkaline Water Electrolysers (AWEs) suffers due to the fluctuating nature of renewable energy sources at low loads.
? Currently, three electrolytic hydrogen methods are commercially available.
1 - Alkaline Water Electrolysers (AWEs).
2- Proton exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolysers, and
3- Solid Oxide Electrolysers (SOEs),
? The following types of electrolysers are also on a development scale:
a- capillary-fed electrolysis cell (CFE)
b- Anion exchange membrane (AEM)
‘What are the major Alkaline Electrolyzer manufacturers?’
⏭️ 1- Humble Hydrogen (HH) High-Pressure Alkaline electrolyzer

a- Single stack up to 800 Nm3/h
