Fuel cell news for heavy-duty transport. Today at HANNOVER MESSE, cellcentric GmbH & Co. KG launched BZA375, a new fuel cell system designed for long-haul trucks and other demanding applications.

Built for heavy-duty use, BZA375 delivers up to 375 kW of continuous net power from a single system, with lower hydrogen consumption, reduced complexity and durability comparable to today’s diesel engines. It is engineered to fit into existing vehicle architectures and support the payload and uptime operators rely on.

“With the launch of the BZA375, cellcentric and its partners have created the blueprint for zero-emission long-haul transportation in the heavy-duty segment. This is a game changer for logistics providers and society at large, and it takes us yet another step toward the decarbonization of the industry,” says Martin Lundstedt, President and CEO of Volvo Group.

At Volvo Group, battery-electric and hydrogen technologies are developed in parallel. BZA375 strengthens the hydrogen pathway, particularly for applications where long range, fast refueling and high utilization are essential.

The system is developed by cellcentric GmbH & Co. KG, our joint venture with Daimler Truck AG and is now available for testing and validation across heavy-duty applications.
